When I stepped on the scale today I weighed 13 pounds less than I did when I started. Seeing that number move and knowing it’s been a result of my hard work is the best motivation there is.
Now, off to the gym…

Heyyy ladies! Sorry - I have been TERRIBLE at posting! My excuse is that my internet has hardly been working at home…so I check tumblr from my itouch at the gym, but it’s pretty tough to blog from the elliptical!
Anyway…fortunately my diet has been better than my posting! I’ve been eating well and going to the gym regularly. I feel so much better already, and while I can definitely tell I’m losing weight, I still get frustrated with myself when I look in the mirror. I still have a ways to go, but it feels good to know I’m over that first bump in the road - the start - which is aways the hardest!
I am really trying to stay positive and make this as much about a lifestyle change as a weight loss plan. I’ve barely binged and purged, which is huge for me - and when I have, it’s been mostly healthy stuff. Or at least, not the usual shit I would scarf when I got sooo hungry at the end of the night. I’ve been making sure to eat something small around 7, and have decaf tea or coffee and lots of water later to hold me over.
Also - tip of the day! - I’ve developed the most random addiction to sheets of nori seaweed. I know it sounds crazy, but I grabbed them on a whim on my way home the other day and can’t get enough! There are 10 sheets in a package - each sheet is 10 cals, 3% of your daily fiber, and full of Vitamin A. I tear the sheets into smaller pieces for a great snack - even if I get through the entire package, it’s only 100 calories! And great for you! I’ve taken to eating this instead of popcorn or pretezels (I love snacking!)

Now THIS is my kind of “thinspo”. I want to be a healthy weight, but I love my curvy hourglass figure. My goal is to free the great body I have from the layers of fat weighing it down, not to somehow attempt an impossible and frankly undesirable transition into a twiggy little thing with bones jutting out.
